Great for gifting, large set
I got this as a present for someone and it’s really beautiful and makes a nice gift. It’s larger than I expected. I love how the pieces are magnetic and stick to the board. It’s a great gift.

Family Friendly Mostly
My Husband and seven year old Son love to play chess together. We bought this as a replacement and it has been holding up great. The magnets on the board and chess pieces are nice for when the table gets bumped. IF it had any more magnetism it wouldn’t work properly since the chess pieces sit close together. They would start sticking to each other but it does not and so it is perfect. The board is a good size and the pieces look nice. I was worried about the quality of the wood but I have not been disappointed yet. The only complaint would be that the drawers are a bit cheap and so they dont slide very easily but it is good enough. As for “mostly family friendly”, I say this because the drawers have screws and a little nob. Mine fell off easily which my littlest runner brought to me ( lucky she didn’t try to eat it! ). We keep the not off and lift the board to pull out the drawer now. Overall, compared to others with the lifted board, magnetism and drawers it is great. I would buy it again.
