Neat design, some flaws in the finish
Nice design on the mug, although it’d be nice to see some other choices that look more definitively like a mahjong tile (like one of the numbered ones). There were some minor flaws in the finish (like a little lump in the design, and also some chips on the bottom), but nothing that grossly detracts from the appearance.

Too cheerful to stay hidden in a cabinet
Rectangular like a mahjong tile, this smile-worthy ceramic cup deserves to be on display. I got the green dragon design and just love the rich color, which is also on the rim and the handle side of the cup. It has a slightly teal tinge and looks like it is part of the glaze rather than just stamped onto the surface. The handle is easy to hold and while I found drinking from the straight edge to be a little disconcerting, it’s fine from a corner. Great gift for anyone who is into mahjong or just a fan of Asian-inspired design elements.

The glaze on the character is matte, while the rest is glossy, and the colors are vibrant. They handle design is very nice as well — it’s not perfectly square, but bends up a little at the top in a more ergonomic way. That makes it a lot easier to hold and actually drink out of than I’d expected.This seems like a great gift for anyone who loves mahjong, or anyone who loves C-drama characters who love mahjong (I fall into the latter category myself, ha — Once Upon A Time in Lingjian Mountain ftw!). I love seeing it on my desk.Highly recommended!
